Shipping & Delivery Terms – Pool Furniture Direct

At PoolFurnitureDirect.com, we work exclusively with manufacturers who commercially package products to minimize the risk of damage during transit. Depending on the items ordered, shipments may arrive in multiple deliveries from different factories with varying lead times. Shipping methods are determined at the time each shipment is ready to leave the facility. See the “Shipping Methods” section below for details.

Unless otherwise specified by the customer, all shipments are scheduled to leave the warehouse as soon as possible. Customers may request a preferred delivery date, but please note that while we will make every effort to accommodate, delivery dates are not guaranteed.

Basic Shipping Services

Basic shipping includes loading the merchandise at the manufacturer and transporting it to the delivery address provided at the time of purchase. Additional services are available and may be necessary depending on your delivery location and needs. These options can be selected during checkout. Third-Party Carrier Policy

Deliveries are made via third-party freight carriers. Drivers are responsible only for transportation and are not required to call before delivery or assist with unloading. If delivery assistance is needed, it is critical that you select the appropriate surcharged services at checkout to avoid delays or issues.

Shipping Surcharges

Additional delivery services are available for purchase during checkout and may be required depending on your location or delivery access. Please review the following surcharges:

Residential Delivery

Surcharge: $100.00
Required when the delivery address is a non-commercial location or not on a commercial truck route. Examples include HOA clubhouses, churches, or community centers.

Limited Access Delivery

Surcharge: $90.00
Applies to locations with restricted access such as gated communities, military bases, schools, construction sites, or amusement parks.

Lift Gate Delivery

Surcharge: $125.00
Select this service if you need the product offloaded to the ground. The truck will have a hydraulic liftgate to lower items. The driver will not move items beyond the curb. It is the customer’s responsibility to move the items from the delivery point. Not all products qualify—size restrictions may apply.

Inside Delivery

Surcharge: $300.00
Products will be delivered inside the nearest accessible entrance, provided the path is flat, unobstructed, and reachable via hand truck. No stairs, elevators, or inclines. Lift Gate service is included.

Call Before Delivery

Surcharge: $0.00
Included with all commercial freight deliveries. The carrier will attempt to call 24 hours in advance to schedule a delivery window. Please note this is not guaranteed. Tracking information should be monitored to estimate arrival, and customers are encouraged to contact the carrier once the shipment reaches the local terminal.

 

Shipping Methods

Shipping methods are selected by the factory based on the size, weight, and services requested. This selection may change without notice.

LTL Freight (Standard Method)

Most commercial deliveries ship via Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) on 53’ semi-trucks. Sufficient space and access are required for these trucks. If access is limited, select the Lift Gate option and note your specific requirements in the order comments.

Lift Gate Delivery

Advised for residential or limited-access deliveries, or if unloading equipment is not available. Smaller box trucks with lift gates may be used.

Ground Shipping

Smaller items may ship via Ground Service without a call-ahead or signature. A secure delivery location is necessary as packages may be left unattended.

Dedicated Trailer

Large orders shipping from one location may qualify for a Dedicated Trailer (entire 53’ trailer assigned). This method reduces handling and potential damage. However, no lift gate is included. The customer must have a team or equipment on-site to offload items. The driver will bring items to the back of the truck only.

Damage Claims & Inspection Policy

It is the customer’s responsibility to:

  1. Inspect the shipment upon delivery – Review packaging and contents for visible damage.
  2. Document any damage on the delivery receipt – Use wording such as “Boxes damaged,” “Received without full inspection,” or “Driver unable to wait for inspection.”
  3. Photograph packaging and products – Take clear pictures of any damage to support your claim.
  4. Report damage within 48 hours – Claims must be submitted to PoolFurnitureDirect.com within 48 hours of delivery.

Only items noted on the delivery receipt will be considered for replacement or repair. If a full inspection is not possible at delivery, be sure to note this on the receipt.

Do Not Refuse Delivery unless the entire shipment is visibly and significantly damaged. Refusals without cause may incur return freight and restocking fees.

Important Notes

  • Confirm your shipping address and selected services at checkout. Incorrect or incomplete delivery information may result in additional charges.
  • Charges for missed or reattempted deliveries due to inaccurate service selections are the customer’s responsibility.
